Lying is an innate part of human nature. They are told for a multitude of reasons at varying degrees of significance. Ranging from attempting to spare someone’s feelings all the way to covering up scandalous and at times even dangerous behaviour.
Through the collection of 100 lying stories from friends, family, Monash Stalkerspace and the 2019 Monash Communcation design group, ‘Lies, lies, lies’, aims to entertain and perhaps shock the audience, as well as encourage the viewer to think twice before blindly trusting everything that is told to them.
In contrast to the publication, the accompanying typographic animation focusses on tips from experts about tips to spot a liar.
